Potato Latkes

I found a recipe for Potato Latkes and decided to give them a try. I opted for the "healthier" version and baked them in the oven vs frying them up. Served up with some sour cream, hot tomato soup and we also had bakes apples they were not that bad. Good Comfort Food!!

147 Sugar Christmas Cookies later and this is all that is left..and this was actually taken yesterday and all that sits in there this morning is one lonely cookie!! We did give some to Grandma and Grandpa and also Aunt Glenda..so relax we did consume them all on our own!!

Our beloved Duke..Christmas 08..Miss you Buddy!

When my husband and I decided to move in with one another he knew my want to have a dog. So he surprised me one day and brought home a Boxer Puppy..I named him Duke. He was a GREAT Dog and grew up to love and adore us and the kids. Unfortunately Duke fell very Ill in the Spring of 08 due to Cancer and he had to be put down in May of 08. I knew someday again I would be ready to open my heart to another and it took time. When I was ready I contacted a local Boxer rescue knowing we would want to adopt a boxer. Which brings me to Zeik. We got him at 4 months old and we are having a blast with him. He is still trying to get used to us..I mean 4 kids under 7 takes some adjusting!!

Snow Snow and MORE Snow

I live where it likes to Snow..and personally I think it is pretty for the first couple weeks and then I could do w/out. It makes a mess for driving, not to mention any type of traveling with 4 young kiddos. Maybe someday I will convince my husband to move us South!! The kids love to play in it, so that makes me tolerate all the months of snow I have ahead of me.

Every year we get some famly and friends together and make up some frosting and decorate some Sugar Cookies...Lots of Sugar and Sprinkles!! This year I cheated and bought the GFS pre-cut Sugar Cookies...my kids are young and it saves allot of time!!

Getting Ready For Halloween

I dont know about you..But when I walk into Target the first thing I look at is the $1 Bins. I picked these Cute Felt Masks up for the kids there and they LOVE them. Fall and Halloween are my FAVORITE time of the year.
